Substance Use Disorder

This course will offer participants an understanding the complexity of substance use with clients. Participants will discuss stigmatizing language, and what to avoid when working with clients who struggle with substance use. Participants will have an understanding of the differences between substance tolerance, substance dependence, and substance addiction. The course will explore the substance related disorders listed in the DSM 5, and discuss common barriers to providing care.

Registration fee is $45, which includes 3 continuing edication hours.
