Newburyport District Court, 188 State Street, Newburyport
With the adoption of new jury instructions addressing bias, it's increasingly clear that important decisions - by jurors, practitioners and clients - are being impacted by bias. How do biases color our decision-making and how can we recognize and manage them with an eye towards the best outcomes? This interactive session will address common implicit biases and provide practical tools on how to manage their impact.
Learn from District Court Judge Lynn Rooney about the new Implicit Bias Jury Instruction and how to implement it in your practice, Also included is the developing case law surrounding Soares/Batson challenges.
This program is appropriate for lawyers and ADR practitioners.
