Online Care of the Newborn

The Care of the Newborn class is designed to teach expectant parents the skills necessary to comfortably care for their new baby. This class is presented in Zoom.  

Some of the topics covered are: 

• Infants' characteristics, behavior, needs 

• Safe sleep, bathing, feeding, and diapering 

Your support person is welcome to join the class with you. This class is not recorded. Please be prepared to take notes. 

(Note: First Aid is not covered in this class)

YoMingo is Winchester Hospital’s online maternal health educational tool/app, which includes information from prenatal to postpartum, and through the baby’s first year. It also provides information specific to delivering at Winchester Hospital.

You will then receive an email from YoMingo with your User ID and Temporary Password. 

After class, it may be helpful to review the Newborn Care section of YoMingo.  Select "Read, Watch & Learn" and scroll to find Newborn Care.
